  • Rolling pin
  • Pizza cutter
  • Oven

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce (or crushed tomatoes)
  • 1 1/2 cups fresh mozzarella (sliced)
  • 2 ripe tomatoes (thinly sliced)
  • Fresh basil leaves
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C) and place your pizza stone or baking sheet inside.
  • Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface until you achieve your desired thickness.
  • Transfer the dough to a piece of parchment paper.
  • Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border for the crust.
  • Layer mozzarella and tomato slices over the sauce.
  • Season with salt, pepper, and drizzle with olive oil.
  • Transfer the pizza (with parchment) to the hot pizza stone/baking sheet.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
  • Remove from the oven and top with fresh basil leaves.
  • Slice and serve hot!
